The engagement
I serve as senior developer and overall technology lead for The Pivot Africa's Conference 4.0, “Digital for Impact,” scheduled for 30–31 October 2026 at Film Village, Awka.
My current scope
- Public website and registration experience
- Ticket presentation and attendee flow
- Paystack payment integration and verification
- Feedback collection and operational visibility
- Technology-team priorities, ownership and follow-through
- Readiness checks across the full registration journey
The operating challenge
The event is working toward 8,000 attendees, participation from more than 1,000 organisations and reach across more than 25 cities. At that scale, small gaps between the website, payment record and team response become operational failures.
How I approach it
Test the journey, not isolated pages
A working button is not a successful registration. The full path must complete from ticket selection through payment, confirmation and internal visibility.
Treat verification as a release gate
Payment and ticketing claims are not marked complete because the interface looks ready. Production evidence must confirm the outcome.
Make ownership explicit
The technology team separates visual communication, operations, junior development and senior engineering responsibility so stalled work has a visible owner and next step.
Current status
Registration is live. Payment verification and production readiness remain active operating gates as the conference approaches. This page will be updated as verified outcomes become available.
